I do hope Valve's work on ARM64 for this, alongside improvements to performance in Honeykrisp, make for a dramatically better experience with Linux on Apple Silicon Macs.

They're very lovely devices with big GPUs, and I would love to (one day when ram prices go back to normal!) repurpose my M3 Max as a under TV Steam Machine when I upgrade.

fwiw, I’m already playing windows games on my Retroid (Android ARM Snapdragon) console and it’s already really good at least compatibility wise.

I mean, you can comfortably play GTAV on this thing and it’s powered by a smartphone processor.

Your dreams are going to become true.


I use my RP6 (and RP5 previously) quite a bit. Its amazing what those devices can do nowadays.
