Last week I was coating copper sheets with polyamide to sheild electronics. While I worked on it, I thought to myself "huh, I wonder if this is what they use on satellites and space equipment..."

A few IR camera images would have made a huge difference. I admit to some disappointment it's not actually gold, mostly.
