Lest us not pretend that the thropic in Anthropic isn't meant to elicit the feeling that they are somehow charitable.

Like sama? (Hope I don't get dang'ed for being political, especially against a ycombi founder...)

Any major differentiators between this and Phoenix? I have been getting more into Elixir lately coming from Laravel and React projects. Been having a blast.

The main difference is that Astral is a static site generator. It also doesn’t require Node.js (or a compatible runtime), because it’s built on Volt [1], which in turn uses the QuickBEAM runtime [2].

My grammy had a curated bathroom library. Usually those "1000 Odd Facts" type of books that you could pickup and flip through.

Uncle Johns Bathroom Reader was a popular series of books back in the 90s!

I think we have a dozen of them in the men's room at work. So they're still kicking in some places.

Mine too. That and 'adult humor' joke books that were big in the 60s.

Any steak can be delicious with a butter bath and then hit it with that A1 :).

> hit it with that A1

Sir, I regret to inform you that you are going straight to hell.

ah, more of an HP person I take it?

Everyone knows steak is better well-done with ketchup.

> hit it with that A1

This is likely some food thing I don't know about rather than a quite large piece of paper yeah?

But when I google "A1 food":

- AI summary: "A1 is a famous Malaysian food brand known for herbal soups and instant noodles"

- top link is "A1 Nutrition Lean Protein Blend Dry Dog Food 15kg"

At this point, I don't know what is going on.

A1 steak sauce. Been around for 195 years, hence the GP didn't feel the need to expand.

It’s pretty much limited to the US now though. Most people elsewhere are unlikely to have heard of it.

...doing more research...

That's almost as long as Australia has been colonised and certainly older than Australian federation and yet, A1 steak sauce is not a big thing in our supermarkets apparently.

Maybe HP / brown sauce. Would be familiar.

Why don’t you skip the meat and just make a butter and A1 soup :)

This sounds like A1 slop to me.

For a moment I thought it is hitting with AI.

No, AI is how you create the steak in the first place, if you have any sense.

CBF with having to travel a bull up here when a dewar goes in the boot of my car.

I think you are looking at it incorrectly. No business is buying individual accounts, because if they do, they open themselves up to considerable risk.

The $200 plans are priced so that the power-users use them and then advocate about how great the product is. If you're buying a $200 plan, you're not doing it because of the price point but rather because of the amount of work it is doing for you.

Lots of businesses are buying and using these plans. Basically every small business I interact with.

All companies we interact with have 200 plans.

Here is the recommend app for this, used primarily by the Tor browser.

I use this on news sites to get rid of the paywall.

ublock origin (not to be confused with the lite version) can also do this, and is more flexible. But it's easy to miss this functionality because you have to know about and read some documentation to learn how to turn ublock's "medium" mode on and how the controls work.

Even a network based firewall could have prevented it.

Why do that when you can do Sino bad?

Pay respect to Aaron Swartz, and go download whatever you need. I hear Anna's got an archive, or there is some Z Lib somewhere. If buying isn't ownership, downloading isn't stealing.
